Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as: Google). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the website. Generally speaking, the information regarding your use of this website generated by the cookie is transferred to one of Google's servers in the USA and stored there. When IP anonymization is enabled on these websites, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other European Economic Area member states. Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services relating to website and Internet use for the website operator. The IP address provided by your browser for the purpose of Google Analytics shall not be linked to other data held by Google.
By configuring your browser settings accordingly, you can prevent your browser storing cookies. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all or the full functions offered by this website. You can also prevent recording of the data relating to your use of the website generated by the cookie (including your IP address) by Google and processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link. In addition to or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our website by clicking on this link . Use of script libraries (Google Fonts)
In order to display our content correctly and in a visually appealing manner regardless of the browser used, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache so that they do not need to be loaded repeatedly. If the browser does not support Google Fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font.
The retrieval of script libraries or font libraries will automatically establish a connection to the operator of the library. In the process, it is theoretically possible that the operators of such libraries could collect data. At the moment, however, it is not clear whether they do this or for what purposes.
The data protection statement of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Use of Adobe Typekit
We use Adobe Typekit for the visual design of our website. Typekit is a service provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. which grants us access to a font library. In order to incorporate the fonts used by us, your browser must establish a connection to an Adobe server in the USA and download the font needed for our website. In the process, Adobe is notified that your IP address accessed our website. Further information regarding Adobe Typekit is available in Adobe’s data protection statement which can be found here: www.adobe.com/privacy/typekit.html
Use of Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API in order to display geographical information. When Google Maps are used, Google also collects, processes and uses data regarding the use of map functions by visitors. More detailed information regarding the processing of data by Google can be found in the Google data protection statement. In the data protection centre, you can also change your personal data protection settings.
Detailed instructions for managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.
Embedded YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a site with a YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube servers will be established. In the process, YouTube is told which websites you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can match your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
Anyone who has disabled the saving of cookies for the Google ad program should not expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos either. However, YouTube records non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you would like to prevent this, you must block the saving of cookies in the browser.
Further information regarding data protection on “YouTube” can be found in the data protection statement of the provider at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
Social plug-ins for the providers listed below are used on our websites. You can recognize the plug-ins because they are marked with the relevant logo.
Via these plug-ins, information which can include personal data may be transferred to and used by the service operator. We prevent data being collected by and transferred to the service provider without your knowledge or consent with the help of a 2-click solution. In order to enable a social plug-in that you wish to use, you must first enable it by clicking on the corresponding button. Information will not be collected or transferred to the service provider until the plug-in is enabled in this way. We ourselves do not collect personal data with the social plug-ins or by using them.
We have no influence over what data an enabled plug-in collects and how these data are used by the provider. At the moment, it should be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services will be established and at least the IP address and device-related information will be collected and used. The service providers may also attempt to save cookies on the computer used. Details of what specific data are collected and how they are used can be found in the data protection statement of the relevant service provider. Please note: If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a specific website.
We have incorporated the social media buttons of the following companies into our website:
Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave - Palo Alto - CA 94304 - USA)
Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you arrived at our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google AdWords will place a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking will be set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If a user visits specific pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the user clicked on the advertisement and was forwarded to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were forwarded to a website with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information which could be used to identify users personally.
If you would not like to take part in the tracking procedure, you can refuse to set the cookie needed for it – for example via a browser setting which automatically disables the setting of all cookies or by setting your browser in such a way that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.
Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies if you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you deleted all your cookies in your browser, you will need to reset the relevant opt-out cookie.
